Author: Louisa May Alcott
The novel Little Men was published in 1871. The author was inspired by her father's passion for education reform and the school he founded. This novel achieved great success and was adapted into many films and a Japanese anime series produced by Nippon Animation Studios as part of the World's Masterpieces Theater series, which focused on "Nan", one of the two students at the school, known in the Arab world as "Nawwar".
Jo did not only establish a school for boys, but she made sure that the place was a real home, especially for the orphans among them. With the help of her husband, Professor Bayer, she healed their broken hearts and provided their ailing bodies with food and medicine. She believed that love is "a flower that grows in any soil, and the fruits of its sweet miracles are not destroyed by the frost of autumn or the snow of winter, but bloom beautifully and fragrant all year long, and bless those who give it and those who receive it." As the world became a small village, the distances between people grew, the land became barren and the “flower of love” withered. This novel is an invitation from “Joe and Her Little Men” to the reader to fill his heart with kindness and appreciation for the beautiful things in nature and people, to realize the essence that the eye cannot see.
