Today's novel talks about all the hopes and dreams that the people of Afghanistan run after. The story begins with the little girl, Fariba, who lost her mother and grew up under the care of her stepmother. Life passes through her in all its details, beginning with the moments of first virginal love and ending with the mother's broken heart! Fariba was the perfect person through whom I could symbolize the homeland. She was not just a woman, but she was the homeland.

Here, Al-Hashemi presents many humanitarian issues that were created out of the political problems and crises that occurred in Afghanistan. Perhaps Saleem in this story was like a dream that everyone is chasing and rarely achieves!
