The title refers to the paradox of time. If we assume that time travel is possible, this means that if you go back to the past you can meet your grandfather. You could also, in theory, kill him! But then you will not be born in the first place, and it will become impossible for this person who returned to the past to exist! The same thought experiment means that a girl can go back into the past and give birth to her mother! It's a puzzling dilemma, you see, and it's usually posed by scientists and philosophers as an indication of the logical impossibility involved in traveling to the past.
